Southern Copper Corporation is the fifth largest copper mining  company in the world, with significant copper reserves. Their mining operations are located in Peru and Mexico. They are  a leading integrated producer of concentrate, blister and refined copper; producing also  molybdenum concentrate, zinc concentrate and refined zinc, silver and gold.

Southern Peru Copper Corporation (SPCC) is the largest integrated copper producer in Peru, with a share of about 27.5% of national production of copper ore. Because of its volume of operations, SPCC is a full-scale mining company with a production level of 350 thousand metric tons a year, and annual sales worth $2.7 billion. It operates the open pit mines of Toquepala and Cuajone in the regions of Tacna and Moquegua, respectively, in the far south of Peru; it also owns a smelting facility, a refinery, and a port at Ilo.
