It is the largest municipal electricity distribution company in Canada and distributes approximately 18% of the electricity consumed in Ontario.

Toronto Hydro Energy Services Inc. provides expertise in energy efficiency, energy management, energy conservation and renewable generation to commercial and industrial customers throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Toronto Hydro Energy Services also manages the street lighting and expressway lighting assets within the City of Toronto, which include approximately 160,000 fixtures.
