PECO Energy chose Ventyx Retail Operations to help the utility fully comply with Pennsylvania and PJM deregulation initiatives, streamline back-office procedures, and interactively share important information with its supplier.
PECO Energy, an Exelon Company, is situated in Philadelphia, PA, U.S. Its complete Retail Choice initiative successfully meets requirement deadlines, and continues to operate with positive results. PECO Energy’s Electric & Gas Choice Program has more than 1.6 million eligible customers.
To fully comply with Pennsylvania and PJM deregulation initiatives, PECO Energy needed a single solution that could support specific profiling, forecasting, customer enrollment, customer data management, and settlement requirements. PECO Energy also sought out a way to interactively share this information with its supplier.
Ventyx delivered and implemented Retail Operations on time and within the allocated budget, providing PECO Energy with the ability to meet Pennsylvania and PJM deregulation initiatives. Ventyx also developed a supplier Website that interfaces real-time with Retail Operations, offering the ideal venue for communication between suppliers and PECO Energy.
Retail Operations provides solutions for PECO Electric and Gas operations:
- Load forecasting, scheduling, and load settlement solution for the PECO Electric business
- Website for forecast submittal and approval
- Web-based daily exchange of information between suppliers and PECO Gas operations
- Back-office gas operations support
Results of the implementation include:
- Streamlined back-office procedures
- Accurate and timely forecasting and settlement results
The solution was so successful that PECO Energy also selected Ventyx to implement similar solutions for their High-Volume Transportation Program and the Low-Volume Gas Choice Program.
